61 coronavirus infected added to the tally in past 24 hours


           Kathmandu, June 20 (RSS): A total of 61 new cases of coronavirus infection were spotted, the highest among the districts nationwide, in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population confirmed.
           
            According to the Ministry, 23 new cases were seen in Nawalpur, 24 in Mahottari, 23 in Tanahun, 20 in Baglung, 18 each in Baitadi and Gulmi, 17 each in Palpa and Rupandehi.

            Similarly, 14 cases were confirmed in Banke district, 12 in Dadeldhura, nine in Sarlahi, eight each in Dhading, Pyuthan and Morang, seven each in Bardiya, Rautahat and Bhaktapur, four each in Bara and Dang, three in Rampechhap, two in Sunsari, and one each in Kathmandu, Jhapa, Nawalparasi (West), Syangja and Rukum West, according to the Ministry. 

            In the past 24 hours a total of 331 cases including 49 women were infected with the virus.

            The Ministry said that Rautahat, Dailekh, Kapilvastu, Mahottari and Sarlahi districts were the most affected ones in the country.

            The number of districts with more than 200 cases reached five and those with 100 plus coronavirus infected is 16.

            Rasuwa, Okhaldhunga and Mustang districts have no case of the coronavirus infection.
