Landslides damage Kantipath

Hetauda, June 18 (RSS): Landslides occurred in several places along the Kanti highway has disrupted the vehicular movement since Wednesday evening. Incessant rainfall occurred on Wednesday caused the landslides along the Kantipath that stretches from Satdobato, Lalitpur to Hetauda.

District Police Office Makwanpur confirmed that seven places including Ghattkhola, Jitpur and Thigan had the landslides damaging the road.

Chief District Officer of Makwanpur Dipak Nepal however said the traffic would be resumed by Friday afternoon as dozers are mobilized to reopen the highway.

Similarly, the roadway linking Kathmandu with Hetauda via Bhimphedi-Kulekhani has also been damaged by the landslide occurred this morning, according to Area Police Office, Bhimphedi. A technical team with dozers has been mobilized to resume the roadway.
